The former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and former Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce have felicitated with former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan on the occasion of his 66th birthday.
Atiku and Murray-Bruce both took to their X handles on Monday to congratulate Jonathan who is a former Vice President and also a former governor of Bayelsa state.
“Happy 66th birthday to our leader and former President, Jonathan. You stand as a towering figure symbolising democracy, peace and freedom,” Atiku posted.
“Your unwavering commitment to these ideals continues to inspire and guide practitioners of democracy, not just in the sub-region but the entire African continent.
“As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, I extend heartfelt wishes for your continued robust health and profound wisdom. May your journey ahead be as impactful and enriching as the legacy you’ve built.”
Murray-Bruce who was the Senator representing Bayelsa East from 2015 to 2019 under the administration of the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari also celebrated Jonathan.
“Happy 66th Birthday to my boss and elder brother, former President Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR, GCON,” Murray-Bruce said.
“May your strength continue to grow with each passing year. Wishing you God’s abundant blessings. It’s an honor to share our roots from the same state.”
Jonathan left office as Nigeria president in 2015 after loosing his reelection bid to former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He is the first incumbent president in the history of Nigeria to concede defeat in an election.
