The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nasarawa State chapter, has raised serious alarm over plot by some unscrupulous persons to disrupt the Governorship election petition tribunal’s closing argument of counsels.
The PDP State Chairman, Chief Francis Orogu, raised the alarm on Wednesday while addressing journalists in Lafia, the state capital.
“The attention of the party was once again drawn to an alleged plans by some unscrupulous government officials to cause mischief by organizing crisis with intent to disrupt the Governorship election petition tribunal from doing it job in Lafia sitting for closing argument by parties.
“As a responsible party we have notified the security agents to take necessary steps in order to forestall any chaos on Thursday in Lafia.
“We urge all persons who are nursing the intention, plans , parading themselves as mastermind to allow peaceful process of the law in the state.
The opposition PDP in the state dismissed rumor that it has no reason to justify relocation of governorship tribunal sitting in the state capital to else where.
