NowNow Digital Systems Ltd, a FinTech firm, has entered into a new unique joint venture with PlanetPlay to form an EcoDonate platform aimed at promoting a healthy world.
NowNow is a leading African financial technology company that empowers SMEs and unbanked consumers to better manage their money and take control of their finances. It was founded in 2018 in Lagos, Nigeria and it helps its over 1 million customers in the areas of digital lending, mobile money transfers, and mobile payments.
PlanetPlay is a Swiss-based, not-for-profit company, focused on supporting specific projects and fighting climate change by using a tech platform engaging with the worldwide gaming community.
Its initial project focused on installing cookstoves in Kenya to avoid deforestation.
Matthew Francis, chief strategy and investment officer at NowNow, said the digital lending firm is particularly pleased to be able to work together with PlanetPlay.
He said the joint venture will enable the company to pursue specific projects from corporate social responsibility and offer its clients the ability to contribute to the growth of climate change advocacy by registering on the PlanetPlay platform to play for the planet”.

It’s also a platform that supports a healthy planet to make the world a better place for future generations, which is aligned with NowNow’s mission of financial equality for all,” Francis said.
On the other hand, PlanetPlay is keen to engage with an African audience supporting African projects and appreciates being able to use the NowNow app to establish that in a fluid manner.
The company believes that core to achieving the development available in the digital world, whether for learning or playing, access to data is key. Therefore, from November 15, each new registrant on PlanetPlay will receive free as a unique incentive and will be made available to NowNow customers in their wallets.
